The evaluation process is tailored to the specific referral question and the individual referred. Typically,
it involves several clinical interviews, collateral interview, review of records, and possible psychological
testing. The testing may include a variety of clinical and risk measures when deemed appropriate.
Results of the evaluation will be reported and provided to necessary parties. The evaluation will address
relevant findings, summarize the overall functioning of the offender, assess risk of sexual offending using
accepted risk assessment instruments, and make specific recommendations. The evaluation requires the
offender to discuss the offense and his/her life circumstances to name a few discussion topics.
